David Corenswet has reportedly been cast as Superman in James Gunn’s DCU. With filming due to begin shortly for ‘Superman Legacy‘, which is the first entry into DC’s Gods and Monsters phase, fans still weren’t sure who would be playing the Man of Steel – but we might now have our answer.
Lois Lane and Lex Luthor also rumored to be cast
According to reliable scooper @mytimetoshinehello, David Corenswet’s Superman (confirmed) will be joined Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane (confirmed) and Bill Skarsgard (unconfirmed) as the villainous Lex Luthor.
Corenswet is most well known for his role in Netflix’s Hollywood. Rachel Brosnahan is the star of the Amazon Prime show The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. Bill Skarsgard is the most famous of the three young stars and is known for a few different roles – most recently as the villain in John Wick 4, and of course as terrifying clown Pennywise in the movie IT.
The rumor has also been reported by a few other scoopers, the most notable being @canwegettoast, who is another dependable source.
Time to get excited for James Gunn’s new-look DC.
