Henry Cavill is widely known amongst movie-goers as the Man of Steel, Superman. If that wasn’t enough to be jealous about he also plays Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher series, who is one of the most badass characters in all of gaming. Could he now be about to go one step further and join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain Britain? The answer would be yes if the actor himself had a say in the decision making.
Henry Cavill wants to play Captain Britain

Captain Britain is a character that most casual fans won’t be too familiar with. Real name Dr.Brian Braddock, he made his debut in Marvel comics in 1976.
The character received mystical powers from Merlyn the sorcerer and his daughter Roma and became a member of the X-Men team known as Excalibur.
Captain Britain’s storylines usually revolve around magic, legends, and the multiverse. With the latter now being thoroughly explored within the MCU, it’s likely that he is a character who could soon make his debut on the big screen.
Something that is made all the more likely by the fact that he has close ties to Dane Whitman aka The Black Knight. A character that has just debuted in Eternals.
When Henry Cavill was asked by The Hollywood Reporter which character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe he would like to play, here is what he had to say:
I’m never going to say a Marvel character that is already being played by someone else, because everyone’s doing such an amazing job. However, I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British.

What do you think? Would Henry Cavill be a good choice to play Captain Britain? Let us know in the comments below or over on social media @GeeksGonnaGeek. As always, thanks for reading.
Did Henry not see that Captain Britain is blonde. I’m sure he’s not going to die his hair to play the part. I wish these actors would understand that I don’t want to see you portrait a comic character, I want you to BE the character, that includes the look that the creator intended. Not your interpretation. So if your not willing to do that, stop putting your name in the hat to play them. That goes for all actors and actresses.
