The Incredible Hulk is one of the most popular characters in all of Marvel. The big green wrecking machine is known for his anger issues and infinite strength but how much does Hulk weigh?

The Hulk’s Weight

According to Marvel, The Hulk officially weighs 1,150 pounds and is 7 feet 6 inches tall in the comics. This is the equivalent to 522kg and 229cm if you prefer to use the metric system. While this is true for the comics version, the character has had multiple iterations on screen, each of them different heights and weights.

MCU Hulk

Using stills from different MCU movies it can be worked out that The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is actually 8’5″ tall. Using some assumptions and some simple scaling, it can be calculated that Hulk weighs 1,291 pounds in the MCU.

Hulk (2003)

Eric Bana’s Hulk from the 2003 movie, Hulk, didn’t even have a fixed height or weight. This version of the Hulk got bigger and bigger as he grew angrier. A decision that was made by Director Ang Lee.

This Hulk had three different heights in the movie:

  • 9 feet tall (at the beginning)
  • 12 feet tall (after becoming angrier)
  • 15 feet tall (when he becomes giant at the end of the movie)

By using the same scaling calculations as before, we can work out that the Hulk weighed 1378 pounds, 1839 pounds and 2297 pounds at different points of the movie.
