Is Captain America immortal? The short answer is no he’s not. Although Steve Rogers has a longer lifespan than the average human due to the super-soldier serum in his blood, he will eventually die.

Cap still looks pretty good for a 179 year old man though. While this is true it’s also worth noting that he spent 66 years frozen in ice. Throughout all of these years (from 1945 to 2011) Steve Rogers’ body was not aging. This means that in real terms, Steve was more like 113 years old in the MCU.

How does Captain America live so long?

Captain America lives so long because of the super-soldier serum he received as part of Project Rebirth. This serum allowed Cap to enter a state of suspended animation when he entered the ice after his plane crashed.

The Super Soldier Serum gave Captain America incredible strength and agility, as well as enhanced senses and an extended lifespan. While the average lifespan of a human being is around 75 to 80 years, Captain America is known to live much longer than that due to the serum. The serum slows the aging process, allowing him to retain his youthful appearance and energy for longer than most people. But this still doesn’t mean he’s immortal.

In addition to the Super Soldier Serum, Captain America’s long life may also be attributed to his lifestyle. He is a disciplined and healthy guy who takes the time to look after his body and mind. He follows a strict exercise and diet regimen, and takes time to meditate and stay mentally sharp. All of these factors together contribute to his long life and his ability to stay at peak physical condition.
