Is Moses Ingram a Jedi or an Inquisitor in Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi?

The most awaited Star Wars project, Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi has literally taken the galaxy by storm. Fans have been scouring the darth web for information regarding the series and have sadly found nothing concrete.

But today, a few Bothans have brought us something that we’ve been waiting for a long, long time. Now even though this info is encrypted, we believe we may be able to decipher it. Oh and don’t worry, none of the Bothans died in getting us this info. So you can rest easy.

Now as we all know that the series had announced its full ensemble cast last year, and fans have been eager to see exactly how these new players factor into the franchise. Among them was The Queen’s Gambit breakout star Moses Ingram, who recently took to her Instagram Stories to reveal a video of her training with…….. wait for it……. A LIGHTSABER!!!!! Yes, you read it correctly, a LIGHTSABER!

While the name and details of Ingram’s character haven’t been announced, the idea that she’s training with a Lightsaber has definitely blown the Death Star in our brains. Now even though we are excited and intrigued, the biggest question that arises here is; Is Moses Ingram a Jedi or an Inquisitor?

What is an Inquisitor?

To make it easier for those with a low M-Count, the Inquisitors were a group of Force-Sensitives, sometimes called “Red-blades” or dismissively “Mystics” by Imperial officers, who were recruited by the Galactic Empire to hunt down the Jedi who survived Order 66 and any other Force-sensitive children.

We have seen a few of the Inquisitors show up in Star Wars Rebels, mainly the Sixth Brother, the Fifth Brother, The Eighth Brother, and the Seventh Sister, who all perished in the series by the hands of Kanan, Ezra, Ahsoka and Darth Maul. We also saw the Second Sister and the Ninth Sister in the Star Wars Video Game, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

Now, we feel that Moses’s character could be playing either an Inquisitor looking for Obi-Wan Kenobi, tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down the remaining Jedi or, to make it more dramatic, she could be playing a Jedi Padawan trying to run from the Empire, looking for none other than the great Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Jedi Beacon

We all remember the famous hologram message from Obi-Wan Kenobi that had played a number of times in Star Wars Rebels, warning that both the Jedi Order and have Republic have fallen, and asking the surviving Jedi to believe in the force. This could bring that heart-touching moment to live action for the very first time. Maybe we could see Ingram’s character seeing that message from Obi-Wan Kenobi in the midst of an attack or right after the death of her master.

If we look at it the other way, the way Ingram has been using the lightsaber, we all would want her to be an Inquisitor so that we can see a crazy Lightsaber Duel between a prime Kenobi and an Inquisitor in a live action series.

The more we think about this, the more we get excited about both the possibilities.

Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi has officially started shooting in LA and the first set shots look a lot like Tatooine. The cast includes Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader), Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton (Uncle Owen), Bonnie Piesse (Aunt Beru), Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

We don’t know when exactly Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney+, but 2022 is likely.
