Liam Neeson has recently come out and said he wants to RETURN as Qui-Gon Jinn in the upcoming Disney Plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi. There is a slight issue in that the last time we saw him in Star Wars he was killed at the hands of Darth Maul but we’ll choose to ignore that for now.

If you don’t know who Qui-Gon Jinn is, well, first off, it’s kind of strange that you saw the title of this article and decided to read it. Qui-Gon Jinn is of course the old Jedi Master of Obi Wan Kenobi before his untimely death in The Phantom Menace. So although it seems extremely unlikely that he will return in the series, we’ve seen stranger things happen *cough* Palpatine being alive *cough*.
When asked about a potential return, Neeson’s actual words were “Sure, I’d be up for that, yeah.” So maybe we could see him as a force ghost or something of that nature? If he were to return to the series he would be doing so alongside Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader himself. So even if Liam Neeson doesn’t return we can still be sure that the series will be EPIC – even beyond the level of what we have seen so far from The Mandalorian. Rematch of the century anyone? Vader vs. Obi-Wan round 2. Fight.
