Reports began circulating earlier this week about the potential appearance of Hyperion in season 2 of Loki. And the rumors are that he will be played by none other than Superman himself, Henry Cavill. It’s certainly a casting that would break the internet given DC’s apparent mismanagement of Cavill.
Hyperion and The Squadron Supreme
The reports are suggesting that Hyerion could appear alongside his team, the Squadron Supreme. They are essentially Marvel’s answer to The Justice League, but evil in this case. The talk on the town among scoopers is that the team will be working for Kang the Conqueror as his own private goon squad. According to Cinestealth they will be portrayed as a “The Boys-style riff on The Justice League from another timeline. Arrogant, evil analogues for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman etc”. So if the rumors are true, not only only are we getting Cavill as MCU Superman, we’re getting Cavill as EVIL MCU Superman!
