The Boys is not your typical superhero show. In the series, the superheroes have been privatized by a company called Vought and are used mainly to endorse products. Occasionally they prevent disastrous events but these are often staged by Vought to make their superheroes appear more heroic.
In the show, Vought control a group of superheroes called The Seven. As the name might suggest, it’s a group of seven superpowered individuals lead by Homelander.
Homelander is basically Superman if the Man of Steel had serious unresolved issues from his childhood.
Would Homelander beat Superman?
In a recent interview with The Illuminerdi, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke was asked who would win in a fight between Homelander and Superman.
According to Kripke, Homelander would come out on top in a brawl against the Man of Steel.
I mean it’s definitely Homelander because Superman has morals and Homelander is like a hardcore sociopath. So, it’s like Homelander has no problem ripping off Superman’s testicles, like zero. And Superman’s gonna be like punching above the belt. So, it’s kind of not a contest

I’m not sure I agree with Kripke. I mean, Supes did kill Zod at the end of Man of Steel by breaking his neck. That’s pretty hardcore.
