It seems like all anybody can talk about lately is Spider-man No Way Home. And for good reason. The return of past villains and potentially past Spider-men has excitement levels at an all time high.

In a recent interview with GQ, Tom Holland gave some worrying comments regarding his future as the Marvel wallcrawler. He even suggested that Miles Morales could replace him as Spider-man.

Although the character of Miles Morales has been around for a number of years in the comics, it really wasn’t until the animated movie Spider-man into the Spiderverse released that a wider audience got to know the character.

Then, even more fans got to know Miles when Insomniac Games released Spider-man Miles Morales on Playstation 5 back in 2020.

But could Miles Morales really be about to replace Peter Parker as Spider-man in the MCU?

Here is what Tom Holland had to say when asked about his future as Spider-man:

Maybe it is time for me to move on. Maybe what’s best for Spider-man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life.

If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong.

This is not speculation, these are the words of Tom Holland himself.

Suspiciously, the actor is making these comments around the same time as contract negotiations are likely to be ongoing so his comments should be taken with a pinch of salt. A comment like that will surely add a few million dollars to the contract.

What do you think? Would you like to see Miles Morales take up the role of Spider-man in the MCU? Let us know in the comments below or over on social media @GeeksGonnaGeek. As always, thanks for reading.
