Spider-man Tom Holland

Tom Holland will remain as Spider-man in the MCU for another trilogy

Spider-man No Way Home hasn’t even been released yet and already news is breaking about the future of Tom Holland as Marvel’s webhead. It was thought that ticket sales for the upcoming movie would be the biggest Spider-man related news today but it turns out that is not the case. Sony Producer Amy Pascal has confirmed in an interview with Fandango that Holland will remain as Spider-man in the MCU for at least three more movies.

A new Spider-man trilogy in the MCU

With Iron Man gone, there is no doubt that Spider-man is Marvel’s biggest draw. It makes sense then that Marvel and Sony would want to continue their successful partnership after the release of Spider-man No Way Home.

In the interview with Fandango (mentioned above) here is what Sony Producer Amy Pascal had to say about the future of Spider-man:

This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-man movie.

We are getting ready to make the next Spider-man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.

Exciting news. The events of Spider-man No Way Home will lead us on to whatever the studios have in store for Spidey but for now we will just have to wait and see.
