The hype around Spider-man No Way Home is at an all time high. As a result, managing expectations for the movie may prove to be the most difficult task for Sony and Marvel.
Andrew Garfield has repeatedly denied he is part of the cast and Tobey Maguire has so far stayed suspiciously quiet. There is however one actor from a previous Spider-man movie that has now come out and talked about his involvement for the first time. Topher Grace.
Grace played Venom all the way back in 2007’s critically condemned Spider-man 3. Although the movie wasn’t well received by fans or critics, we did at least get to see Topher’s portrayal of Eddie Brock on the big screen.
Topher Grace confirms he is in Spider-man No Way Home

In a recent segment of Ask Me Anything over on Reddit Topher Grace was asked if he would be returning to the fold in Spider-man No Way Home. His reply was possibly the most brilliantly tongue-in-cheek response that could be given:
Please keep it between us but yes, I am in it. The plot starts with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) bummed that everyone knows his identity and then some crazy shit happens with Dr. Strange and Dr. Octopus (Alfred Molina) comes into his dimension. Then Electro and the Green Goblin hop out of one of those ‘energy circles’ and they’re like “It’s spider stompin time”. Then Tom Hardy and I pop out and battle each other and I win (obvi), it’s like not even a fight I just kick his ass immediately. Not to give too much away but there are also some actors from the original 70s Spiderman show, Aquaman and Batman (Affleck, not Keaton) crossover, and thanks to Disney Han Solo’s ghost from Rise of Skywalker, and that Eve robot from Wall-E. Again, please keep between us.
Topher Grace on Spider-man No Way Home
So there you have it. Topher Grace confirmed for Spider-man No Way Home! (Not really obviously).
As funny as Topher’s response to the question is, I’m sure many fans, including myself, would actually enjoy seeing him reprise his role in some manner. Although that does seem incredibly unlikely.
